In a world of turmoil and
ever increasing challenges First Assembly reaches out to the
generation labeled as "X" and offers refuge and strength
through an experience with God! Refuge Youth Ministry is
specifically designed for young people from grade 6 through
Post-Graduate. Different meetings take place throughout the week for
the group, but the focal gathering happens on Wednesday nights. At
this meeting the timeless truths of the Gospel are presented to
young people in a contemporary way.
Refuge utilizes a
number of tools to get students involved in ministry. A focal point
for Refuge is taking students beyond being spectators and allowing
them to be participants in ministry. Students are encouraged to
discover the gifts God has given them ... and then use them for His
Kingdom.
Refuge combines a
balanced approach to youth ministry, recognizing the spiritual and
social needs of students. Wednesday night services address the
spiritual needs and outside activities connect to the social needs
of students. One myth that many young people have about
Christians is that they can’t have a lot of fun. Refuge Youth
Ministry is out to disqualify that myth! Real fun begins when you
experience Real Life with Jesus!
If you are Middle
School, High School, or Post-Graduate student surfin’ the net and
